I'm looking forward to seeing how the new single turbo MY2011 335i responds to tuning. The hp/tq numbers are the same but the turbo is supposed to be 7% more efficient accord to the BMW Motorsport blog.

**My opinion**
It will be equivalent in stock trim but it won't respond as well to mods. The N54 was VERY underrated from the factory. With the N54 (twin turbo motor) you can buy a $279 JB+ and safely add 60whp/65wtq. They dyno 275whp stock and guys are getting 330-345whp by raising boost 4.5lbs. BMW is bringing in the N55 (single turbo motor) as the workhorse (cheaper) but is also retaining the N54 because of how detuned and underrated it is in factory form. They're going to keep the TT for the "IS" models, Z4, 740i/li. For example the N54 being used in the sDrive35is (Z4) is rated at 335hp/332tq w/overboost at 369tq. Impressive. Now why would they keep a more expensive motor if it didn't have significantly more potential than the cheaper variant?
