What can I say KB has a good sells man. He talked how much cooler the IAT's were than a maggie. Well I posted proof on that shit. When you have
2 log files of a pass down the track one with each blower it's hard to dispute. flashboobs.gif

Well today Kris and worked on my motor some more. Kris got alot done today. We should have the motor hopefully finished up maybe tomorrow.
If not Saturday. I can't wait to get this beast up and running.

I read up on your KB post on LSTech...

Ok so let me make sure my facts are straight because i am actually very curious on this one...

You were boosted to around 15 PSI running an air to water intercooler and meth? If i have something wrong let me know...

There was something SERIOUSLY wrong if you were truely seeing 250+ degree temps (not saying you werent... I did see the pic of the melted sensor)... The compression of the air should have only doubled its temp... Lets assume up to 180 maybe 200 degrees (if it were 90 when you made the run) you would have some heat soak that could account for maybe 30 or 40 degrees i would suspect (the air doent really stay in contact with the manifold an and such for that long so it shoudlnt transfer that much energy and honestly 40 degrees seems hight to me...)... and then you have the heat produced by the S/C friction... I would be very suprised to see temps like that on a NON-intercooled motor...

It's been a while since i took a thermo class and i jsut used very basic formulas to get my numbers (and an assumption with it comes to the heat soak which might be alot higher than i suspect), but dude....

That is CRAZY!!!!

it is very unusually high. could have possibly been a defective unit (idk, i never saw it, and wouldnt know what to look for if i did). either way, his new setup should solve that issue lol

I've seen some very tight tolerance'd KBs have issues on Lightnings.

That's right. The problem is I wasn't the only one. I know of atleast 1 other and non of them are making power anywhere close to what I made. POS wink.gif wink.gif

I suppose if tolerances were to tight that could have caused my problem.
